Electroplating at home

Thanks to Onshape for sponsoring this video! Create your free account at onshape.pro/ThomasSanladerer

Electroplating (or galvanic coating) allows you to plate almost anything with a layer of real metal. But it's a finicky process to get to work. In this video I'll be showing what worked for me and what didn't!

Models shown:
Roadhog by ‪@fotismintofficial‬ www.printables.com/model/3379-roadhog-overwatch
3D Benchy by Creative Tools www.printables.com/model/3161-3d-benchy

Tools you'll need
Magnetic stirrer go.toms3d.org/stirrrrrr
Lab power supply go.toms3d.org/powerrrrrrrr
Nitrile gloves go.toms3d.org/glovessssssss
Crocodile clip leads go.toms3d.org/clipsssssss (these will most likely need resoldering)

You'll also need suitable containers, anode material, conductive copper spraypaint (mine is a relabeled CRC can, which works well) and electrolytes. Buy these from a trustworthy seller in your region of the world.
Please work safely.
