Nikon Z8 for Sports Photography - How Does It Compare to the Z9?

Now that we have Nikon's Z8, a huge step up from the Z7ii and even the D850, it's time to see if it meets current standards for a good sports camera. On top of that, how does it compare to its big brother - the Z9?

NOTE: In the buffer test in this video, I tested the two cameras based on how I would shoot with them - with both cards in place. I understand that the SD card in the Z8 is a limiting factor.
