Myopia Progression is now being labeled as an epidemic. Projections are showing around 50% of the world will be nearsighted by the year 2050. Because of this, a lot research, and potential treatment options are being heavily studied. Many treatments for myopia control or myopia progression are now being offered. One worry with the increase use of virtual reality headsets or head mounted devices, is the possible effect it has on myopia. With mixed studies, one study shows it could have a potential to play a role in myopia control and slow down the myopia progression. Of course, more research is needed with a better design to the study, but it still makes you wonder.
