Wellbutrin or Buproprion is often prescribed for smoking cessation, ADHD and depression. Anxiety can sometimes increase in patients taking this medication (although some individuals do report improved anxiety, particularly if they have ADHD and their focus or ability to not be overwhelmed with a great number of different thoughts at once improves). Anxious depressions may also improve with Wellbutrin.
