Rugged Maniac Cancels Event - Won't Issue Refunds or Defer Registrations

While preparations and prevention of the Coronavirus are very important, causing the cancellation of many races and events, most race organizers are postponing events to later this year or outright deferring participants' registrations to next year's event. However, the organizers of the Rugged Maniac are not doing that.
Instead, when they cancelled the Charleston event for 21 March 2020, they are only allowing people to participate in the virtual Rugged Maniac or travel to another event held in 2020.
The Rugged Maniac is an obstacle course race that has 25 obstacles sprinkled through a 5 kilometer path. You will get muddy, you will get wet, you will overcome inflatable and hardened obstacles such as walls, ladders, bounce-house type structures, ropes, and tunnels. But the virtual Rugged Maniac is a typical 5k run with a workout of the day (WOD) added to it. They are NOT the same thing.
