Trump Deletes Department of Education with Executive Order

President Donald Trump took actions to fulfill a campaign promise to dismantle the Department of Education by signing an executive order at the White House.

The order greatly reduces the workforce and functions of the department but keeps intact the managing of Pell Grants and federal student loans.

The executive order does not dissolve the department completely; only Congress has the authority to dissolve a department of the federal government
