Awaited Autopsy Results in Mohbad's Case Expected to Provide Clarity

The ongoing coroner's inquest into the death of Nigerian singer Mohbad, also known as Ilerioluwa Aloba, has progressed with the testimony of Dr. Richard Somiari, the Director of Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre. Dr. Somiari informed the court that the autopsy conducted on Mohbad's remains would be concluded within the next three to four weeks.

Mohbad's sudden demise on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, sparked speculation and controversy surrounding the circumstances of his death. In response, the Lagos State Government launched a coroner's inquest to thoroughly investigate the matter. Dr. Somiari's testimony shed light on the forensic process, indicating that potential causes of death, including the possibility of poisoning, were being explored.

Dr. Somiari reassured the public of the integrity of the investigation, highlighting stringent protocols in place to ensure the security and accuracy of the autopsy results.
