The Deadliest Ape Attacks: The St. James Davis Tragedy

Unlike dogs, apes don't make great house pets. People often adopt or buy a chimpanzee when they're babies, thinking they can imprint on them as parents. But while they may be cute and cuddly in their youth, they can quickly grow to 100 lb (45 kg) or more. But it's not their size that poses a threat. When fully matured, chimpanzees can be five to six times stronger than the average human. They can also carry disease and dangerous bacteria and not even show symptoms.
