One Piece Kinda Sucked At First...

Shounen Jump's One Piece is the most sold manga in the world, but its anime adaptation by Toei struggled out the gate. Its animation left a lot to be desired, its pacing was cluttered, and its characters were underdeveloped. However, slowly but surely, Oda's story was able to take flight, and the anime is now better than its ever been.
