Apple Pencil USB-C - why does it exist?

The Apple Pencil (USB-C) is quite an interesting new accessory for the iPad lineup. I really wonder why Apple didn't release this last year with the iPad 10th gen... but nonetheless I'm glad that users now have an even more affordable option to pick from stylus wise if they aren't desperately in need of pressure sensitivity, wireless charging and double tap with their iPad 10th gen, iPad mini, iPad Air or iPad Pro workflow!
