We went to the famous Canning fish market, which is probably one of the most significant fish markets in South 24 Parganas and Sunderban. We bought Roopchanda fish and searched for Shankar Fish or Stingray. But could not find any. Finally we came to Sonarpur fish market and from there we managed to buy stingray or shankar fish and my mother cooked a delicious stingray curry.
It was a short day trip from Kolkata. We went to the biggest fish wholesale market in Canning.
We bought the sundarban famous crab and pomphret fish.
We saw different types of fish in the whole sale market.
