How to Study Value Composition

I'm going to show you a quick Photoshop trick to check your value compositions. Instead of using Posterize, add a Gradient Map layer so you can control where values shift from light to dark. This helps you see your value groupings and adjust them as needed. It's like getting instant feedback without needing an instructor. But be cautious, relying too much on tools can hinder your creativity. Use them to improve your eye, but don't let them limit your ability to explore and experiment on your own.

If you don’t have access to photoshop I made a similar tool you can use at proko.com/values
