ADC 2024: GPU Audio's Accelerated Audio Platform News

We've been keeping an eye on the progress of GPU.audio since we first saw them at NAMM a couple of years back. Since then, they have shifted focus to be more of an enabling technology allowing plug-in makers to interface with GPUs rather than creating their own plug-ins.

At ADC spoke to Alexander about their approach to offloading audio processing tasks to GPUs. Alexander explained that their technology supports various platforms including NVIDIA, AMD, and Apple's Silicon, Qualcomm, Intel.

They call it accelerated audio computing, is applied across pro audio, game audio, and even automotive sectors. Alexander highlighted a recent workshop where they demonstrated running 130 instances of a neural amp modeller in real time on an RTX 4090 GPU, showcasing the power of their platform.

Additionally, GPU Audio is collaborating with companies like Vienna Symphonic Library and Audio Modelling. A partnership with Mntra Instruments involved enabling a heavy-duty spatial reverb plugin, offering real-time processing with Dolby Atmos support.
