Every night, as we prepare for sleep, we’re faced with a choice. We can allow the weight of the day to settle in, letting our minds spin with worries or distractions. Or, we can intentionally invite the presence of the Holy Spirit into our rest, trusting Him to bring us peace, renewal, and divine guidance. The moments before sleep offer us an opportunity — an opportunity to pause, connect, and invite God to lead us even in the quiet of the night.
For many of us, the night is a time to disconnect from the world, but it can also be a time to reconnect with God in ways we often overlook. The Bible is full of promises that God is near to us in every moment, and this includes our sleep. While the body rests, the Spirit can continue to work in us — renewing, guiding, and preparing us for what’s ahead. But the key is in inviting the Holy Spirit into that time with intentionality.
