The Unseen Bali | A Travel and Culture Documentary

Me and My crew, Benjamin Bellette and Gemma Baker set out to film a pilot for a travel series aimed at recreating something that has been lost from this world. In 2018 Anthony Bourdain passed on from this world to the next, with him went a curious mind, a sharp wit that was tempered with the cynicism of a former drug addict and blue collar worker, who some how got gifted the best job known to man.

Im no AB nor am I trying to be, but this series is as much a selfish effort for me to create more of the episodes Id binge on, that are no longer being released.

With no plans and just a few contacts we decided to head to Bali and film the pilot, id been once before but that was a 4 day trip that i barely left the pool and ended up getting lobstered like a rookie.

My intention is to not only show parts that aren't seen commonly but to also express voices of people in the places. I cant be opinion-less as I will through in how I am contextualising what I am seeing and hearing. Not all will agree and thats ok too, like Ive said before its not meant to be perfect, but I'm proud of the result.
