Here's a tutorial for this seamless movement transition from one of my recent reels. I used Davinci Resolve, but any editing software with the ability to keyframe and mask will work just fine.
NOTES:
1. Make sure that your mask is "cutting out" the clip, not just applying color correction to that area. In Davinci Resolve, you do this by adding a new node in the color tab, right clicking anywhere in the window, add alpha output, and then connect the blue part of the node to the blue shape on the right.
2. It helps to key-frame a color adjustment over the last few frames of the first clip to help them blend more seamlessly. In this transition, I darkened the first clip over the final few frames to make it more similar to the second.
