Hot Spring Lovers…You’ve Gotta Add This One To Your Itinerary 😍👇🏽
Located just a short 2-hour drive from Reykjavík, the Húsafell Canyon Baths are calling your name! You won’t find hoards of people here, or an on-site gift shop.
Just you and the rugged, remote Icelandic wilderness 🌲I’ve visited a LOT of Icelandic pools and spas over the years, and I gotta tell you - this one blew me away!
As you soak, you get to take in views of the surrounding canyon, mountains and glaciers. There’s no better way to end a day of sightseeing ⛰️And the best part?
These baths were built by Húsafell locals who wanted to keep the project as sustainable as possible. From changing room hooks crafted from a local farm’s horseshoes - to a bathhouse built with salvaged timbers. - this spa is the real deal ✨
You can book a tour on their website (husafell.com) to visit the baths! A knowledgeable guide will lead you through the canyon, sharing insights on Iceland’s renewable energy along the way and stopping at the Langifoss waterfall before reaching the baths for a relaxing soak.
Please note: you can’t simply drive up - a guided tour is required to access the hot springs.
Let me know in the comments…
Will you be adding this stop to your Iceland itinerary
