Who’s hungry for a moth buffet?
Bears will eat…almost anything. They’re omnivores which means they eat everything from grass to game meat. They’re not picky and love digging up for roots, snacking on fish, or inhaling wild berries. Sometimes what they choose to eat as a primary source of calories depends on its accessibility. So if they’re climbing all the way to the top of Glacier’s tallest peaks there must be a yummy and worthwhile reward waiting for them at the top. How about a juicy, flavorful, buffet of MOTHS.
Let’s learn more about the secretive world of moths in Glacier Park and how grizzlies will feast on 40,000 of them a day – enjoying lunch views from the tallest peaks in the park.
