4 years of iPad animation in 57 seconds

4 years of iPad animating & doodling in the spare blocks of time I have in between life, family, and work. 🎨

I’ve been trying (and often failing) to be consistent with the habit of making stuff. But fun to look through all these old instagram loops and animations and at the very least see a collection of fun experiments—an inconsistent ritual of creating.

My biggest takeaway has been “lower the stakes”. Go easy on yourself. Keep it simple. Give yourself the fulfillment of FINISHING and just putting it out there. Thats worked for me and has helped keep this side hobby, fun and rewarding.

I also wonder if it’s been helpful that I actually DON’T do this for work. My job is creative, but I very rarely do hand drawn animations specifically at my full time job. And i think that separation between hobby and work has helped keep it fun!

Anyway, @Procreate Dreams is coming soon which I’m so excited for. It has the potential to change the industry for both professionals and noobs like me!

So take this as a sort of nostalgic look back at the “before Procreate Dreams”, as I giddily await its launch.
