I'm from the UK where this guy was head of the bank of England. (Our Fed bank) this guy is amazing. His grasp of economics is phenomenal. And if Trump wants to take him on. Well. Fidel Castro once said the only people he was scared of were Economists. I think Canada now has the most intelligent leader in the world.

I was undecided until I watched this show. Mark Carney is now the Prime Minister of Canada and with federal elections coming up he has my support. He is well spoken, intelligent, and I am aligned with his ideas of the future for Canada.

I’m a Canadian and don’t want to be the 51st state. Here’s one reason why: I’m 76 years old and retired. In the past two years I’ve had a heart attack and severe diabetic foot ulcers. This entailed six operations with 45 days in hospital including eight days in intensive care and in the end, walked out the front door without paying a nickel and with no bill to follow. If we were in the 51st state I would be completely destitute and wandering the back alleys with my walker searching the dumpsters for food. Are you kidding me! No thanks.

I haven’t seen this till today. I didn’t realize Mark Carney has such a great sense of humour. I sure hope he wins the election and remains Canada’s PM. He’s so smart, but now I like him for his sense of humour. Great interview. The two of you together have great energy.

I watched this last night (recorded) and thought it was current. Imagine my great surprise to read that he IS the new Prime Minister!! What a great guy he sounds like!! So funny and intelligent and full of care for the Canadian people. Congratulations Canada!

Hi! I'm Canadian and just finished watching this interview and was blown away by Mark Carney's wit and calm demeanour as Jon threw humorous questions at him left, right and centre. 👏 I didn't know all that much about him before this video (which I watched twice in a row, btw) and laughed all the way through! The Liberal Party of Canada just got back my vote tonight. ✊

You know for this interview alone I've gained a lot of respect for Mark Carney. He had fun, but he brought it back to serious, but read the tone of the room and actually played off of Jon really well. I love interviews like this, it shows that the other guy is smart enough to have a proper conversation with someone like Jon. Sure some might argue that's not a high bar, but I miss politicians like that.
