@RubenCLeon

If tariffs are a "regressive" tax, then it's also the most democratic tax of all taxes because you only pay the tax if you buy the imported product.
If you want to call a tariff a tax, then the consumer gets to decide if they want to pay the tax.
Tariffs only apply to people who buy the product that's under tariff.
If the "made in China" costs more and you buy it, then the tariff has no effect.
On the other hand if the "made in US" costs less, that puts more Americans to work.
All taxes, even corporate, are actually paid by the consumer.
The Coast Guard was invented to "guard" the coast, not from an invasion, that would be the navy, but from smugglers trying to avoid a tariff.

@sparkytas

It is factually incorrect to state that every country America has a trade relationship with America has a tariff deficit with. Australia doesn't charge the US any tariffs on any item. We have 100% reciprocal free trade agreement.

@marcot4863

The president does explain about the world abusing us, when it revolves around tariffs but the media blocks that message.

@MrMeta4ical

If you pause at 3:38 you'll see that the graph is representing trade deficit. Not tariff deficit. A trade deficit simply means that more is exported into U.S. from Canada than from the U.S. into Canada. Which makes total sense, because there are 10X as many people in the U.S. than there are in Canada. So naturally, the needs of 10x the amount of people kind of leads to more things being exported. This isn't some conspiracy from Canada against the U.S., I am a Canadian, so biased, but also right in this case.

@GrantRobinson-r1r

Important to note that the US runs a trade surplus with Australia.

@Gaming_Antics

So much for Cathie Wood’s $2,500 Tesla stock price prediction. LMAO

@harrysakata3082

Cathie’s statement about Canada imposing high tariffs on US milk is misleading. The tariff is applied only if the imports exceed a certain cap, which has never been exceeded before.

It's great to see Larry in 1080p for the first time.

@henrybennett3739

Congratulations to ‘that guy’ for interviewing Cathie. Quite a good person for him to get!

@BigPictureYT

Peter Zeihan says that it was an intentional policy to convince other countries to. support us during the Cold War. We wanted the war torn countries to rebuild. We used our navy to ensure free trade all over the world, a new and totally unique development that created a global economy.

@larryhall595

President Trump has stated several times that he wants free trade and that means reciprocal tariffs. You tax me I tax you the same amount. Simple logic 💯👍❤🏆

@JulianSale

Cahie Wood just lost all credibility with me on her comment about Cdn tariffs on US MILK. Via a deal that Trump negotiated in his first term, US gets access to Cdn milk at zero to 7.5% tariff UP TO A PREDEFINED QUANTITY, after which the tariff jumps to approx. 250%. HOWEVER, the US has only ever reached about 50% of the maximum quantity allowed before tariffs increase.
On the broader tariff issue, on a per capita basis Canadians import about $7,500 USD of goods from the US and Americans import about $1,200 USD of goods from Canada. In other words, Canadians are importing 5 times as much Americans (on a per capita basis). If services are included in imports/exports, then the US has a trade surplus with Canada. Who is subsidizing whom??? SO MUCH misinformation. Cathie, you want people to invest billions based upon your advice. Get your facts straight.

@OurTeslaFuture

Great discussion between Larry and Cathie. They’re both so intelligent and well informed and articulate.

@kokenif

Have been a CW fan for several years. She, without a doubt, has made my upcoming retirement more fruitful. Thank you, Cathie! ❤

@thanksno4911

Why do people keep repeating the 2:30 disinformation of 250% tariff on milk?

@davidrounds3245

I think the tariff problem is so obvious to him he does not realize that the average person does not understand it.

@Thewildrovertv

The richest country the world has ever seen, the largest econony by far, the largest Military complaining that they are being treated badly by the rest of the world. Give me a break.
