@dawahnsalaam

The word gay actually means happy. So when she says unhappy, it doubles for not gay... clever bar

@kenitabaum4843

In Doechii and Kendrick we trust 🙏🙏

@Marx-Oliver

If Doechii ever made a musical, that shit would go CRAZY!

@wargboyz

"Whats in that clear blue water?" her anxiety is warning her of something that's not there, because she can see thru the water clearly, but its still worried about what might be hiding.

@heathermason5803

Gotye (Somebody that I used to Know artist) is actually really cool. Pretty humble. The fame from the song was overwhelming to him, and he didn't like the way some people were using his song. He stepped back and hasn't released anything under the name "Gotye," but still writes, with his original band, and working at his own label. He just wanted to write music, not be an uber-mega star in the spotlight. I hope he likes what Doechii did with the song.

@christineodogwu8042

She actually made this 6 years ago, which she originally posted on her personal Youtube account, before blowing up on tiktok!

@nyawnz

"whats in that clear blue water" because anxiety is irrational, you can know exactly whats going on, but feel like you dont

@ygniya7022

2:29 Scru dats a simple yet Fire flip of the word GAY😂🥳🤣🙌🏿

@solica

Her voice is very jazzy sounding. I dig it!

@deadmanthehekatonkheire994

Minimalism is a legitimate artistic approach, but in recent years, it’s been distorted into an excuse for doing the bare minimum. This is why music in general—and Hip-Hop in particular—has been in a rough spot lately. That’s why I’m glad artists like Doechii, Kendrick, Tyler, and Sabrina Carpenter are being recognised and praised for giving it their all and "doing too much". This is exactly what music has been missing. Theatre kids for the win.

@the1337euph

1:20 it's a jazz singing style. It's a part of jazz singing overall. Love how you listen to so many genres

@aeromummy3322

I like how when Scru gets very impressed he turns into Santa for a quick laugh then it is back to Scru. Just the "HoHoHo" alright back to business. Keep up the great work.

@B1bonnemere

Doechii 5x Grammy Award Nominated— The Swamp Princess is a Force and I’m Here 4 It!

@stephanielitz4056

Doechii singing sounds a little Jill Scott ❤ I love this song

@wonderwhipps5386

Doechii is Like the Hamilton of real hip hop. It’s an entire experience with her. ♨️♨️♨️ she cooks

@tyc.miller

Doechii is what I wanted to see from Doja Cat

@michaelchileshe2619

"the "quiet on set ", "anxiety in 3 2 1", makes me think of "lights camera action".
Makes me think of Hollywood, that quiet on set docu series, the pressure that comes with being in the spotlight

@demun3857

When she sings she has a Jasmine Sullivan, Macy Gray, neo soul I'll type feel, Missy Elliott infused with Lauryn Hill Complete Vibe
🎶💯🚀

@Major2829

If you have anxiety, this is how it feels in your head, body, everywhere. You are fighting yourself.

@upsetuloss

She's the perfect mix of Lauren and Missy, "Perfection"🤌🏾
