Food shots are great. The glue that binds humanity with a universal community.

@Olhamo

watching your videos tonight for the first time- I am reminded of a Balinese dancer, I had a book celebrating him - many years ago, I wanted to come to Bali and study with him, it was a sort of youthful dream. His name was Kakul. One of the people who waved in your video brought him instantly to mind. Oh, to have fresh coconut water...

@TheZentrdr

These are exactly the travel videos of Bali I was looking for. I may have skipped Ubud but you show how gorgeous it is.

@Coastmac2001

Bali is just fantastic. The people are incredibly friendly. It draws me back for more. And the food is just brilliant. Great posts as well

@2kkto2

Good for you - I have been doing similar in Thailand for over 25 years and enjoying my life... Thanks for sharing.

Mate you are a natural I really enjoy watching your content

@alwaysveryspicy

@6:38 I’ve sent a clip to a friend plus I’ve translated a bit… you are correct… just call it “bubur”. It’s a bit of a mish-mash so I’ll put it down to being this lady’s specialty - her morning breakfast niche.

The yellow dish had chicken? If so it’s kaldu ayam with added fried soybeans (the younger lady said “kacang merah”). Colouring is from kunyit (turmeric). But the younger lady said it had coconut? Puzzling - the “pieces” were shavings of coconut, not chicken? Guessing.

The dark sauce was sweet? Coconut milk mixed with gula aren (palm sugar) but all over Indonesia the other ingredients vary a lot lol. Perhaps a rujak variant.

Glad you enjoyed it!

THIS is what made my Indonesian travels so fascinating back in my heyday! 😊

@benjaminharry1270

I visited Bali in 2009, and it's a beautiful place with beautiful people.
I stayed at a 5 star resort at Nusa Dusa for 1 week.
The tourist destination is highly recommended to anyone who desires a getaway.

@silviofontana5144

such a nice guy you are

@johnnorman1793

G'day Wayne, i am married to an Indonesian lady, and even she doesn't know what that yummy meal is that you had. Bubur actually means rice soup or congee in chinese. One of my favourite morning foods is Bubur Ayam, which is rice soup with chicken, and fried telur (soft fried egg) on top. the nicest one's i have found are when it's made by a chinese indo lady. I always load it up with pepper and some ketchup manis. Yummy & cheap..!! I'm sure there is more to the name of that meal other than Bubur..??? I would love to know the real name. Enjoyable simple video

@davidkeith3648

Wow you are at the top for my Bali watching.Those smiles are exactly why she looks young. I.m back to buy furniture and Nic nacs in December. I think we will consider Ubud in place of Sanur this trip.
