Thank you for the update! We both had babies at the same time and I watched the new born video earlier. I was only breastfeeding him and beating myself up for not pumping enough. I got new pumps from the US to help increase the supply and was a little sad I didnāt have an oversupply to help me with bottle feed during my brotherās wedding. I had to put him on formula then. But Iām so glad he didnāt get too attached to the bottle and he is back on breastfeeding completely now. But since then have gone back and forth on the bottle feed because of night feeds and Iām really glad you cleared it up for me!

You can pump & feed with a spoon like it was traditionally done in India instead of the bottle. On the bottle milk flow is easy and comfortable whereas breastfed babies need to suck hard on the areola using their gums without which the milk will not flow besides thereās nipple confusion and hence babies doing both will prefer the bottle. Feeding with a spoon will not prevent latching to the breast unlike bottle feeding! Itās also more sterile to use a bowl & spoon. Pumping is an option when the mother is not available 24 x 7 and has to go to work
