@RefurbishedBacon

Those of us lucky enough to grow up with a helpful dad already may know this, but to those who weren't as fortunate, this is great advice. Even if we were already taught these things, it's a nice refresher. Thanks dad.

Highway, yes, but if you can head for the hills! Transmission issues are much more apparent!

@catiecarney7623

I lost my dad when I was 23 but he was gone long before that… please know that what you share here doesn’t only help your daughter but it also helps so many of us “dad-less” daughters too💕 thanks for taking the time 💕 sending you and yours so much love 💕

@nina2592

Man, it hits different when a dad tells you how to do something! Lol good advice, especially the cardboard for any leaks! I wish I had this advice when I bought my used Mercedes smh total rust bucket but u would never know that unless you looked under the SUV! It's cost me Soo much replacing parts that were rusted.

@MrAnaheimification

Something I always do is ask if the person selling the vehicle has the title and if that title is in their name. If they are selling it for someone else I make the title is signed by the actual owner and notarized…I also ask for the VIN to check with the NICB to make sure it isn’t stolen…I do this all over the phone btw so I don’t waste my time.

@aaronblackburn3390

Good advice, thanks. I should have tested the emergency breaks when I bought mine. Both of the front suspension springs were broken and you could hear it when emergency breaking.

@esmeraldapayan7857

Your Chanel is like the dad I never had! Thank you I’ve learned a lot 👍🏻👍🏻

@pamengland7863

Love your Dad advice!

@bob-g2h

Visual defect dont matter as long as the chasis and powertrain is good

@clutchbleach2057

It's a shame people aren't honest. When I sell a car you will know everything I know when I sell it.

@lildyrdek777

Buyer: "Why are you selling the car?"
Seller: "Why are you buying the car?"

@ramtron1775

My dude giving life advise. 🙌

@Perennial_Curiosity

Here in the Frozen North always bring a flat head screwdriver with you and crawl underneath as best you can. Poke and gently scrape on the rustiest things you can see. Expect a few small bits of rust to come off, that's normal. If any big pieces come off or even worse, if your gentle poking goes right through something, either cut your offer by at least 1/2 or walk away.

@duckyday1099

Your a smart man. And you add to my learning.

@Pimp21ULike

I would honestly bring a mechanic with you as well. Cant stress this enough.

@beverlyhigh620

All good advice, my dad gave me this same list

@Sophie-kn3gh

Get it checked out by mechanic if possible

@mescobar2214

plus drive the vehicle thru a back alley or a high concrete wall to hear the sound whole driving it

@ohplezz

All that is nice but what you really need to do is take it to a legit mechanic and have him look it at it and hook it up to his computers.

@cceldrid01

Great advice!!
