@BruceM8

The easiest way to get on my bad side is to tell me that I, who check my larger suitcase (which happens to meet carry-on guidelines), must use up my leg room with my medium size backpack. I paid the same fare as you, and I will use the overhead on the same basis as anyone else on board, thank you very much.

@kitkat5339

I’m tall and I’m old. I need foot/ legroom. I pay to check a bag so I can have that space for my feet, especially since legroom is an ever decreasing commodity on airplanes. My backpack or duffel can enjoy its flight in the overhead so I can still walk after landing and/or don’t die from DVT.

@killer2600

The comments don't seem to get it, this video is made BECAUSE of the people in the comments that want to make excuses for themselves or make their own rules. For the people that make the "I'm tall" excuse for putting their small items in the overhead bin, the short people paid the same fare for the same legroom, so when the bin is full because the short people put stuff up top instead of under the seat don't complain it should have been put under the seat - they paid for the legroom just as you.

@indigosue3070

I sometimes put my coat ON TOP of my bag in the overhead bin.

@MoniqueAO888

Be CAREFUL !!! In Europe it's the OPPOSITE: heavy luggage goes under the front seat, light stuff in the overhead-bin (do you want heavy things drop on your head during a emergeny ???). AND oversized handbaggage goes to the belly of the plane.
Advise from a 33-year-experienced international flight-attendant. Many -Happy-Landings :-)

@Anonymous-il8yl

I disagree. Yes, flight attendants do not like it when you put personal items in the overhead bins…………DURING BOARDING. You can put those items after the big bags are in the overhead bins, but not before.
I am a tall person, and I paid for the same amount of legroom as everyone else. So, I am putting my bag up top. 99% of the time, there is enough space to put a jacket or backpack up top after everything else is stowed.

@daylightdaylight6612

I once showed a FA how to fill up a bin by rearrange the bin so that it was able to accommodate 4 hard case trolley's and a backpack iso of 2 trolley's znd a backpack
And some bins on Boeing aircraft are very small compared to bins in Airbus aircraft.

@greebo6549

The fact that I've often seen some of the 'carry on' suitcases larger than my checked in suitcase, and I've seen it so many times where people stuff not only their suitcase but also multiple bags of duty free and heavy coats into the overhead lockers, I have no qualms of putting my coat up there since that is essentially all I'll have of bulk with me.

@SaraSilva-id8js

Except if you are in a separator seat (like some extra legroom seats), where you should put everything there and obey the FA when they tell you that

@anakerose

I'll only put my stuff up there if everyone has boarded and there's space. But never beforehand

@sunnyscott4876

I will put my backpack and jacket in the overhead bins. I'm allowed 2 items.
One is going under the seat 💺( my purse) and my backpack is going up in the bin.

@Star-Boarder

I pony up and check my bag. I only have a personal item. Its so much more relaxing and I track my checked bag.

@johnK85086

Do you think TSA pre check is worth it

@neutronjack7399

I notice you prefer a hard sided case for your carry-on luggage. I prefer a soft sided bag, or a backpack because you can compress it to fit in the overhead. Unfortunately, I don't get the convenience of rollers.

@harrybear193

Then you have people with 3 and 4 carry one redicous

@kenbrown2808

and on the last flight I took, people were piling their carryon bag AND their personal item AND the stuff they bought in the airport shop all in the overhead. if your carryon is duffle sized, sure put it in the overheat, but don't be a hog and put multiple things up there.

@sheliadurantvlogs4564

No COATS either. I don't understand why people put large heavy coats in them. Lay it in your seat and sit on it.

@breadroomghost8764

The flight attendants have more to do than being the backpack police. They’ll deal with an issue when it arises and not before

@brendakrause5639

Put in luggage overhead bin like putting books on bookshelf

@u_t_d_s_h-1_a

Also--- regarding overhead bins, one needs to pray to hopefully miss encountering trecherous individuals---one may yet realize are well capable of instituting hillarious social complications...
