This is just my opinion but I think that Uzi's Pink Tape Album was great. I like how he reached out to Overseas artist and dove hard into the rock genre of music.
Uzi isn’t aging with his audience. And as we get older our taste changes. Uzi hasn’t been able to keep up with the change. Or tried to mature musically. He’s almost 30 still trying to be a goth kid in high school
it’s insane how the promise child shifted from uzi to carti of all people, an artist who was barely even talked about in the soundcloud era and seen as uzis sidekick.
“when was the last time lil uzi vert had a hit”😂so we just completely ignoring how massive just wanna rock is😂ok
the fans that Uzi still has are basically oldheads who can't let 2016 go.
Uzi ain’t been the same since he stopped fw Marley Raw and cubeatz
Ea 2 is a whole new sound, sounds different than his previous projects. To say that he doesn’t push boundaries is just inaccurate.
Uzi's career was finite from the day he started recording. His whole appeal was him being an average broke young dude who just started getting money, fame, and everything that comes with money and fame. His recent music is uninspired because you can't be young forever and the novelty of that lifestyle is shortlived. His creativity came from that novelty. There is no going back to an old sound there is no changing it up, it is done, it is over. Uzi said everything he needed to say when he needed to say it. Since 2019 it's been like kicking a dead horse.
He got in a relationship that’s what has stunted his evolution
I wont lie though the newer songs dont hit the same, but still catchy and fun. He been rapping drugs and he been in & out doctors office tryna get his life together for his fans. We lucky he still releasing music
13:29 Just wanna rock?? That song was huge .
listen to eternal atake 2 again its better with every listen everyone gonna be a day 2 defender
Can y'all admit Travis ain't a mumble rapper like he doesn't mumble in his music at all y'all are just haters of newgen rappers calling them all mumble rappers even though they almost never mumble in their music
As a trans autistic midget rapper i LOVE Uzi. I can relate to him.
Personally I think Uzi is just confused, he has an extremely loyal fanbase, which will support him regardless but the problem is, that EA2 was just a wrong step, like I think PT was a great step for Uzi because he pushed his limits again, and a lot of the songs did end up working like suicide doors, x2 and other metal/trap/pop rap fusions. but EA2 simply was just a bad step in his discography.
The disrespect of not mentioning Denzel Curry bro smh
Uzi just got lazy and wanna buy us with nostalgia his music nowadays is repeating same.versus and random Adlibs and small verses there and there
its crazy to see how uzis music was so anticipated by his fans to now barely anyone cares about his newest albums. Personally uzi was my favorite rapper in highschool but now that im 22 i tend to want to hear more mature songs like from future. The sad part is it is his fault, he probably felt like he could do no wrong because of how unique he was and everyone was on his dick but that was just a moment in his youth, he stopped pushing the bar for his music, became dissatisfied with his career and wanted to quit. I think a part of him knew it was destined to end this way which is why he used to be so fixated on being young, if he had died at 27 like he said he would, everyone would think of him as a legend. No one is gonna care about a man thats almost 30 that hasnt gotten better since he was in his early 20s.
Anderson.Paak was the best in that Freshman class.
