It’s a great course, thoroughly recommended! Totally true it’s about your mindset, progress not being linear and looking after yourself so take breaks and go at your own pace - mine is uber slooooow and that’s fine with me 🇵🇹

Needed to hear this today. Trying to incorporate into my daily schedule. I find if I practice before work, I'll get it in. If I start work first, the day gets away from me and I'll miss my practice. I like your tip to at least listen to music, podcast, or watch a show if no time to sit and practice. I also do that while cooking, I do like the process of cooking when I give myself enough time.

We should not fear mistakes with language learning. Others hopefully can and will appreciate the efforts made in speaking. Sometimes languages become an indirect contest unintentionally with how people present their knowledge of them and give some criticism of others' errors.

Just having started the 4th year of Pt learning, I am still no better than a tourist phrase book. The time to cut my losses is quickly approaching bc otherwise I will stop enjoying living in Pt altogether. You can't have it all.
