@Asnerlicious

My High school math teacher taught college courses at night. He taught precalculus in the day and calculus at night. He served the college as adjunct faculty. It made sense for him since he had a curriculum nailed down being a veteran teacher. In theory you could even pick up a seasonal summer job as well.

@nancyskilton136

With 2 young kids at home, I was an RN working part time night shift, holidays and weekends when my husband was home. I worked the shifts that paid me bonuses or holiday pay.

@virklad7

I love how the Ramsey people are just like, get another job! We've spent the last eight years trying to get better paying work. It's not always that simple.

@tonysangster7383

Agree’ tutoring & perhaps holding “maths camps in the holidays ” $100 per student + food expenses, camp outside with them, take them out for treats - !!

@nygreek743

Well, she can work too. If she thought about forever being stay at home mom that she chose the wrong guy with the wrong paycheck because you can tell that he’s not expanding his education. As a former teacher myself, you have the opportunities to gain extra certification and earn more degrees to get a bigger paycheck if you want. Seems like he’s comfortable where he is, but she didn’t want this life. She should’ve talked to him about his goals before they even got pregnant, or even dated for that matter!

@ToastitoBandito

Being a stay at home mom doesnt mean you have to be jobless. Its 2025, she can eaily find a side gig or remote job to do at home to bring in extra money.

@jackodonnell3463

You can make more than $100 an hour tutoring after school. Sometimes double that. There are zoom possibilities too so work from home

@joshuanorton3263

Tell the grown man to pick up a drill and come work 60 hours a week with me. Thatll give him income

@karenlubeck3294

If he works in the summer whether he teaches summer school or something entirely different will bring in income to supplement his teaching income seems right to me.

@citygamer121

Yea, i know one tv show where chemistry teacher did get a second job that he loved. This guy can learn from that show and get inspiration. But don't watch season 5.

@monicavandeventer5429

For those telling the mother to get a job, she has one, as a mother. That work is brutal. I have 2 toddlers and it's 24/7. I am on a 10 minute break right now.

@magthepoboy

She needs to work too! My wife and I both work and we have 3!

@annyeong5810

You can always do extra work. It's not good, it's not fun, it's not gonna pay well, but it's there.

@timfoote2874

$56,000/yr is a good job, for the average American. If his wife were to work, they'd have to find and pay for, child care.

@FireBall-j8d

Bot comments wont make you rich

@lauracorriss9538

If she can get a decent paying job, she should work at night or on weekends. Once the kids are in school, she can work while they're in school. I assume he works year-round, but he can also tutor on weekends and/or nights as suggested. It's temporary for him.

@Vito-m8r

He manes 56K for 8 months of work? If he worked all year that’s 84K. Not bad for a teacher. Stop complaining about your pay, you get 4 months off. Teachers union sucks

@alexandrademartini7496

And this is why we have a teacher shortage.

@callidusj

Why can't she get a job? I'm hearing "He, he, he..." - she needs to contribute too.

Gist from Daves folks is "I like when people do work that they love, but...". She wants to be a stay at home mom; well, I like when people do work that they love, but...
