honestly echoing your sentiments where i was genuinely surprised by the number of features that aren't available at launch. this is acceptable if it's WWDC, but this is just a new level even for Apple.

You can tell Apple was caught off guard by AI. The AI features won't be fully ready until about June 2025 so AI should have really just launched with the iPhone 17 lineup. With the 12 gb of ram rumored for the 17 Pro series. The 16 lineup is a bad deal. Apple watches are ok if you have a series 5 or older. The only thing that truly impressed me is the new hearing software for the Airpods Pros. That'll be a game changer.

I was very disappointed actually. Coming from an iPhone 12 pro, I was sure I was going to upgrade to the 16 pro/ pro max, but after seeing the apple event I’m just planning to renew my current battery and wait for an iPhone that IS actually worth the upgrade, since the camera button feels like a gimmick at this point and the AI features will be available on my current phone as well.
