This was like THE song of the year when it came out (1990). It was EVERYWHERE...the skating rink, school dances, weddings, the clubs, radio. I don't know anyone who didn't immediately fall in love with this song upon 1st listen. It's still a bop.

Michael "Biv" Bivins is not only responsible for putting BellBivDeVoe together, but he assembled Boyz Ii Men (Motownphilly, Water Runs Dry) and Another Bad Creation (Aisha, Playground). When this song came out from BBD, the other members of NE (Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, and Ralph Tresvant) all had major hits around the same time. Bell, Biv, DeVoe as a group and the others had solo albums that were mega hits! Such a great time in music 🎶.
