The Crystarium feels more like home to me than any of the other hubs. Part of it is the Warrior's personal investment in saving it, and the First, but part of it is also the music and the steadfast optimism beating at the heart of the city.

There are parts of this theme that sounds almost like a national anthem, especially when the music swells to a crescendo. I mean, I almost feel the urge to stand to attention. The Crystarium is, after all, the only city in the Norvrandt where all hope is not yet lost, and I can literally feel the pride and resolution of its people in this theme.

The Crystarium and its theme are simply in another league compared to the previous cities and hubs in the game. Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. If only a place like this existed in real life; where every citizen each played a part in the continued success of the city.

I think what made this song resonate so much was how hopeful it sounds. Not just for the people just trying their hardest to survive. But for you, when you remember what the Exarch's motives are. In a fascinating way, the Crystarium is the crystallization (haha) of various people and their desire to save the WoL from a terrible fate. Hundreds of years of planning and work, just to save their hero. This is what the Crystarium is. A home away from home.

I would argue that Shadowbringers is the best expansion ever made. I literally cried when finishing it. This music is godly and a perfect fit.

I got into FFXIV a few months ago because Shadowbringers was being hyped up for years. Since it was announced I've been listening to the trailer theme over and over again so when I finally made it to 5.0, not only was I finally happy to see what everyone has been talking about, but hearing a more heroic version of the main theme was almost enough to make me breakdown in tears.

This lined up perfect with my first visit to the Crystarium. It was a not great time in my life and FF14 felt like a wonderful place to be with friends and an interesting and deep story. Looking around the city and taking it in felt so unique. Haven't felt that way in a game in a while. It hits so nice :D

This song after the final boss of shadowbringers felt like such unbridled joy and triumph and sadness and relief at all of the loss up until this point in the game being vindicated. God the emotional payout on that expansion was so good u_u
