@yokoyoghurt

we CANNOT be in 6th gen 5th gen hasn't even had its run

@Joshua_Del_Valle_2005

5th gen haven't even BREATHEDDD

@tiramisoup777

i genuinely don’t care what people are saying, it is not 6th gen. “generations” in kpop are actual shifts in the sound and visuals and entire kpop landscape OVER TIME. it’s been a year since 5th gen started, and the current vibe doesn’t seem to be changing any time soon (this is positive in my opinion, i want to see artists experiment with the sound they’re already doing rather than moving on immediately!) i seriously think it’s just kids trying to push a new generation cause they’re already bored with this one

@ItsNifer

how tf are we already 6th gen??? I feel like they're just arbitrarily labeling groups into the "next gen" when it literally doesn't make sense. 1st gen, 2nd, and 3rd lasted much longer than anything between 4-6 gen.

@HauMun_1lovetacos

"2025 is the start of 6th gen"

WE JUST STARTED 5TH GEN WTFYM?

@enzopereira3774

3rd gen: 2013-2018
4th gen: 2018-2023
5th gen: 2023-2024? ☠️

@ih3cp

I am not doing 6th gen yet

@Zee-lc5sc

5th gen started suddenly just because Mnet wanted to promote Zb1 as first 5th gen group, and it worked. So now another companies trying to do same like WTF😭

@therealhanji

how did 5th gen only last one year 😭😭😭(or was is 2 years? idk i've lost track)

@Marcondirondirondello

26:15 tripleS mentioned! They absolutely delivered a masterpiece of an album with "ASSEMBLE24", every song is just insanely good.

@maggunni

Maybe they are trying to use the six gen narrative to bring attention to the different groups that debuted now because its kind of insane to insinuate that in just two years the kpop music industry changed sounds and concepts enough to call it a shift of generation. Literally new generation of music and visual concepts.

@yanellizlopez1420

how are we already in 6th gen cause 5th gen just started like a year ago

@evilwelshman

Regarding the Jang Da Ah and Wonyoung situation.... IMO outside of really senior positions in a company (where the right underlings can paper over the deficits and handle day-to-day operations), nepotism can only get you so far. Yes, it might open doors initially but unless you can deliver, people won't keep you. After all, you're not the only person with special connections. If special treatment/opportunities are being given to you because of who you're related to, those same special treatment/opportunities are going to be given to other connected people too. So, organizations are not short on connected people to grant favors for. What they are need are people who can actually do the job.

@twinklingjinju

I hate how companies are trying to capitalise on every fun little thing the fans make now, the only reason they’re trying to make 6th gen start is so they can market their groups as ‘6th gen leaders’ since zb1, kiof, babymonster, ect have already claimed that title

@Lefty_loosey

Imo if every single group in fifth gen are still rookies then you can’t warrant a new generation

@Biirrrrrrrrr

I remember it like it was just yesterday when we were all debating whether we were in 4th gen or 5th gen. Crazy how time flies—when it’s only been two years loll!

@mavisamevorshie1302

Forbes mentioning katseye but not xg woke up or even babymoster sheesh is a crime.This songs were also notable in 2024. I get skeptical of some of the kpop list that foreign media puts out sometimes.

@LordLort

6th gen must be a clickbait, there are like handfull of 5th gen idols, no way another gen starts

@xoxokami913

i listened to pop by nayeon so when she counted down in the song it lined up w/ midnight

@ioutsoldurfavs

5th gen just started what😭
