I live about 10 miles from Chris. My yearly insurance is $292/year. That was a 55% increase from the $188/year i was paying last year. That seems like extortion for rates to rise that much year over year (but I've heard that the increase was due to certain pandemic relief laws ending).

@DennisYoung007

I currently have GEICO auto (been with them over 39 years) for my current car and pay $484/six months. I got a quote for my CT from GEICO at $1180 /six months.
Got a quote from Progressive and it will be $417 / six months. Going to change to Progressive.

@CheesyWhales

Florida resident here. Can I just say I am quite envious of you, or basically anyone else who lives in a state with sane insurance.

@retiredbitjuggler3471

Well, this is perfect timing. I just received an email from Tesla that I can now place my order for my Cybertruck. I’ve kind of gotten over the sticker shock, but my next hurdle was to cost out insurance in New York (high insurance costs). We live in a low crime area on the east end of Long Island, so this gives me hope that I may not get raked over the coals. Can’t wait! 😊😊😊😊. Long time follower β€” love your content. Thanks!

@MisterHaynes99

solid, when I dropped my 3 long range and added the CT, received a check from insurance for $50

@Captain-Alucard

My wife and I are 34 and 40 years of age, we have no crashes or tickets under our record, we live in Canada. We own a 2019 Equinox and 2021 Tesla Model 3 and we pay $290 for both per month.

@ers247

Thanks man for this video, I was wondering what the rates are for the CT

@longmuskox4194

Our insurance went down after becoming a Tesla household. We live ~25 miles from Chris but Progressive was the cheapest for us.

@Da-King-of-Swing

Thanks for da info I'm da one who asked you on X on Sunday about your insurance. πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

@TeslaCareyP

I keep switching insurance companies too. Definitely getting ridiculous. We have two model 3s. The accidents in my area are getting so bad. I get scared every time insurance renewal comes around cause I never know what’s going to happen. I usually have to switch it up We also have a home bundled in but it keeps going up too. I’m in Arizona.

@brad7571

Adding my CT increased my premium by $6 per year. An entire extra car for $6. But I'm over 50, and I have never made a claim.

@danliebster9894

I'm really surprised at the low amounts of liability coverage there are in the US given it's litigious reputation. In Ontario, Canada most folks carry $2million in liability for auto insurance and I worry sometimes that there could be situations where that is not enough!

@peterswinson326

My focus cmax is about $200 in the UK fully comp :) we have to go on comparison sites every year in the UK and then go back and see if the original insurer can beat it and go with the best one, same for utility bills, takes a bit of time and you get ripped off if you don't do it

@brucec954

After I bought my MY, I was going to get rid of my second car as I am retired now, a 2005 Subaru Outback, and was told my Insurance premium would go UP $50 because I wouldn't get the multi-car discount. Goto love Insurance.

@Paper_Foxx

Flordia's "weird stuff" is called fraud, sadly. (Licensed insurance agent here)

@yeahbuddy92193911

The TL;DR version, is the cybertuck costs MUCH less than other trucks to insure.

@michaelhess4825

Working, rural (cheaper by a lot compared to in town), through enumclaw, 44 and married. About 1375 year. Model Y awd is 1045 a year. With all my other vehicles (7) I i pay around 5k a year.500k max a year, U/UIM, no glass... Need to change that part.

@eric5280

I'm 47, clean record (last 6 years) and live in Northern MA. I have a 2018 Model 3 Dual Motor with American Family insurance (default comprehensive insurance) and I pay $85/mo and a Cybertruck AWD with Progressive (max comprehensive insurance) and I pay $95/mo. What is crazy is that the combined insurance for my Teslas is about the same as what I paid for a 2016 Honda Accord Sport back in 2018.

@ZombieAssassin7777

WTF That's cheaper than my 2021 M3 Standard insurance!!
